City Churches Children's & Youth Choir
Citykirkernes Børne & Ungdomskor is an exciting choir collaboration across Odense City Churches, with a choir programme for all children from 1st grade and up. The choirs are anchored in the national church, but are open to all children regardless of religion, background and musical abilities.
The Spire Choir is for 0-3rd grade. The Spires rehearse on Tuesdays at 14:45-15:35 in Sankt Hans Kirkes Sognehus, Sankt Hans Plads 1, 5000 Odense C
Junior choir is for 4th-7th grade. The junior choir rehearses on Tuesdays at 15:45-17:00 in Sankt Hans Church Parish Hall, Sankt Hans Plads 1, 5000 Odense C.
Girls' choir is for 7th-9th grade. The girls' choir rehearses Thursdays at 15:45-17:00 in Graabrødre Klosterkirke, Jernbanegade 9, 5000 Odense C.
Graabrødre Kantori is from 15 years. The choir rehearses Thursdays at 16:40-18:00 in Graabrødre Klosterkirke, Jernbanegade 9, 5000 Odense C. The choir is paid when singing at church services.
All choirs work with both classical and rhythmic repertoire. The youngest choirs work with solmisation and canons, and the older ones sing in two and three parts as well as ear training that is integrated into choir rehearsals.
