The chaplain - for both residents and relatives
The parish priest from St Hans Church is affiliated with Rytterkassernen and wants to make himself available to both residents and relatives - regardless of whether you are a member of the national church or not.
Worship service
On the last Tuesday of the month at 14:30, a short service is held in the garden room. The focus is on recognisability and simplicity, with familiar hymns, clear communication and an Our Father.
Visits to the living room
By appointment, the priest is happy to visit the ward, for example in connection with the monthly church service. The visit can be a chat, an opportunity for prayer or perhaps ‘just’ an Our Father when other words are not enough. Contact either the priest directly or the activity leader.
Conversation
As a carer, leaving your loved ones in a home away from home can bring many emotions into play. The chaplain can be a good dialogue partner with full confidentiality. A counselling session can be facilitated and can take place either at the Rider Box, at the pastor's office or at home. Contact the pastor directly.
The last days
If you have any questions about the final moments and funeral/interment, you are welcome to contact the priests - either us at St Hans Church or in any parish. And remember: It can be helpful to talk through as much as possible with your loved ones.
Church taxi
If a resident wants to attend a Sunday service at St Hans Church and cannot get there on their own, it is possible to book a church taxi. Please notify the activity staff no later than the Thursday before.
Visitor service
Sankt Hans Church has a flexible visitor service, where we try to connect you with some of the church's volunteers as needed. If you as a relative need either yourself or your loved one at Rytterkassernen to receive a visit, we are happy to try to help with a contact.
